Ecuador

Freedom and Nancy Rodriguez are Cumberland-sent artist missionaries serving in Ecuador.  Their mission is to empower the mind and inspire the hearts of young people living in under-resourced communities through creative, educational, Christ-centered outreach.  They have been serving through creative camps and workshops, after-school programs, murals, as well as with their paintings.  Their work in Ecuador is expanding as they partner with more churches and ministries in need.

Greece

Greece

Stephan and Mary Calhoun are our partners serving faithfully in Greece for the last 15 years. As an access point to Europe, Greece sees a huge amount of diverse people moving to and through the nation. Stephan helps to train pastors and support them in church plants throughout the country. Due to the confluence of languages and cultures, there is a huge need for churches among displaced people groups in their heart language. Even for native Greeks, the need for the Gospel is great. Less than 1% of Greeks are Protestant.

Operation Joshua is another part of their ministry that has been distributing New Testaments in modern Greek to every home in the country. This project has taken years, and they finished their goal in the summer of 2023! They now follow up with contacts made during the distribution, and connect people with local churches. In a country where the Gospel has largely been forgotten, the Calhouns are part of a ministry spreading the Light of the World to people who desperately need Him. Supporting our partners in Greece means equipping pastors to start churches and putting the Gospel into every home in the country!

India

India

While India’s government is closed to Christianity, the good news of the Gospel is spreading! Cumberland partners with Tabitha’s Heart in Kolkata to share the love of Jesus in a Hindu and Muslim culture. Tabitha’s Heart provides desperately poor children in India with the services they need to break the cycle of poverty. They provide school sponsorship, after-school tutoring, and even children’s homes for the children with no one to care for them. Tabitha’s Heart is also empowering Indian women through vocational training and micro enterprise programs. People’s lives are being changed by the good news of the Gospel and by people who lovingly come alongside them.

Cumberland also partners with a facility training local Indians to become missionaries to go to unreached people groups primarily in the north. After 18 months of training, these believers are sent out with skills that can help them be a blessing to their new community. Typically, these brave Christians start 5 churches in 6 years in an area that has never heard the Gospel. You can help spread God’s love to people who have never heard the name of Jesus! Make a difference in India today with your contribution!

Kenya

Kenya

As Kenya endures one of the worst droughts in 40 years, the needs of vulnerable and at-risk children are even more acute. Glory Outreach Assembly (GOA) is on the ground meeting the needs of these children, and especially orphans. They have 8 children’s homes around Kenya providing food and shelter and the love of the Lord to children, giving them a hope and a future. Beat the Drum is their children’s home for HIV/AIDS children, many of whom are orphaned due to the disease. GOA has also planted 160 churches in Kenya and other African countries over the last 30 years, and many of them are in communities that had never heard the name of Jesus. In Turkana, Kenya, GOA built an Adult Literacy Center as well as an Educational Center for children, ministering to all the people of the community.

Supporting our partners in Kenya allows you to make a life-changing difference for a hungry orphan, or it helps plant a church in a community hungry for the Gospel!
